John Palmer was sent to prison (May 2001) for eight years for defrauding an estimated 16,500 timeshare owners in Tenerife.The resorts controlled by Palmer on Tenerife are:-
Palmer was ordered to pay compensation - averaging over £5,000 - to a randomly selected group of 400 victims. The other 16,000 were not awarded any compensation.

As a result, lawyers Irwin Mitchell are managing a "group" action on behalf of the other 16,000 victims.
