UK consumers are being bombarded with telephone calls or Internet "pop ups" to get them to pay for a low cost holiday in America. "Holidays in America"
The consumer is usually asked to pay around £500 for a 10 to 14 day, multi-resort holiday plus a cruise.
Most, if not all, of these offers are fraudulant.
Anyone who takes up an offer finds that the cost of the holiday is much more than promised, the cruise is often only a two hour ferry crossing and the accomodation is two star at best.
TCA advice
Do not touch with a barge-poleIf you have already agreed to take up an offer and have paid by credit card then:-

If you cannot get your money back from the company you should enlist the help of the Florida State Department on www.800helpfla.com/telemkt.html (telephone 00 1 850 488 2221) or the Better Business Bureau (equivalent of the UK trading standards) on www.bbb.org
